But after that recent santa nonsense, he's a little on-edge despite himself; as soon as he hears the trod of feet, he looks up, tensing, hand straying towards his sword (which now sits within arm's reach).

It's Kousetsu. Never mind, this is fine. Probably. He nods in greeting, forcibly calming down.]
[ They were all a bit on edge it seemed. Tenka wasn't faring any better and Kousetsu was at a loss for what to do. Normally he would just lend an ear and listen to what the other had to say, but in this case...he wanted to do something useful.
He pauses as if worrying for the other before he bows in apology. ]
I am sorry to have...disturbed you. [ At that moment a small robotic white bird in the shape and image of a dove will nest itself on Kousetsu's shoulder. It looks pretty chill and totally at ease with the large sword. ]
[Ah... he didn't intend to make Kousetsu apologize, that's for sure. If there is anyone not at fault, it's Kousetsu.
So he shakes his head promptly in response, frowning slightly.]
No, you have nothing to apologize for. [He does note the Cybuddy, but...despite his general dislike of the things (which mostly stems from distrust of anything robotic at this point), he has to admit it is within Kousetsu's rights to have it.]

I have also brought home a few pets. But I would like to have you and Tenka-san's approval before keeping them. [ What a bombshell to just drop in a convo. Kousetsu plz. Said pets would be a cat, dog, and yes that is a tiny flamingo CYbuddy that all now walk into the room. Surprise! I hope you like new pets Sousei. ]
Shishiou-san was giving them new homes and I...did not wish to see them go without a place to stay. [ He knows they're just robots and robots aren't technically 'alive' but Kousetsu likes animals and he can't help himself but to bring a few home. They look alive and real enough to him though. ]
