That's one way to put it.

[It's been more trying for some than others. He knows Kousetsu and some of the other holy swords have been ill. Haru's been sick. The only ones left capable of taking care of the house are the ones LEAST capable of doing it well. It's been rough, to say the least.]

You need anything?
helmsplitter: (you don't say)

[Man, you and a bunch of the other swords?? You guys get sick all the time, sheesh.]

Tea? Sure. You want me to bring it by or you got some in the house already?
helmsplitter: (not like i care)

Eh, I was bored anyway.

[aka Your welcome, Kousetsu. It's nice to be useful.

Doutanuki will hang up and appear a few minutes later at Kousetsu's apartment. Knocking? What's that? Nah, there's no need to knock! He'll just let himself in.
]

Oi, just so none of you freak out, I'm here.

[Watch and wonder at the majesty of Doutanuki, the Tactful Tanuki! Behold his ability to put everyone at ease with a single phrase!

He turns toward Kousetsu as the other sword gets up and stops dead, looking him up and down.

Time to exercise his Tactful Powers!!
]

You look like shit. Sit back down.

[Doutanuki is a master of tact ok.

He also is just going to roll his eyes at Kousetsu and set about making tea, which thankfully is something he can do.
]

It's not like I'm some stranger, Kousetsu. I'm not gonna get offended you didn't die on your feet for me.

[He sets the kettle on the stove and turns it on, rummaging in the cupboards for tea or ginger.]

You an' the rest of the house are all laid up right now anyway, so you might as well enjoy the rest.

[He finds some tea and then a root of fresh ginger and sets about peeling the skin off with a spoon. Like an old housewife, ugh.]

What's it like - being "sick"?

The first time I saw him get sick, I thought Master was going to die. Used to be the way that things happened - get sick an' you die - but now it seems like it ain't really a problem.
helmsplitter: (ugh oh my god)

[Shit he learns from watching TV without realizing it....thank you for keeping his secret.]

Yeah, I asked Zara about it once. Said we had to eat certain types of plants or somethin'.

[He dumps the skins into the trash and rinses the root, then starts grating it vigorously in a manner that makes it look like he's trying to crush it into the core of the earth.]

Sounded weird to me, but he said it'd help. Maybe someone here has some of that stuff that'll help 'cause what you just described sounds like shit. I hate feeling dull.

[He's got the tea steeping in a second and then he comes back, setting the hot mug down in front of Kousetsu.]

Let it sit a minute.

And I guess medicine might help these bodies. What about takin' your real one to Master?

...Once he's feelin' better, too.
helmsplitter: (oh so that's why)

[Tanuki's Cooking Skill: +1

He flops down next to Kousetsu now that his job is done.
]

Yeah, he gets sick a lot here. I wonder if that's just normal for humans or if it's got somethin' to do with this place.
helmsplitter: or f*cks, but we're pg-13 here (gives 0 cares)

If it's stress, then yeah, we should probably do something about it.

[He leans his head back, looking up at the ceiling. If it were stress, then they were the most likely cause of it. That and maybe school? Or the lack of other humans around? Not that Haru seems particularly distressed at being surrounded by swords though...]

...What do humans do to get rid of stress? Eat?
helmsplitter: (is that my belly button?)

Isn't a quick cure the best cure?

[Efficiency is best, right? Like, if your arm has an arrow through it, you can cut the arrow out.

Or if your arm's near off, rather than sew it back on, just cut the stupid thing off.
